Bullet journaling (Bujo) is a fantastic tool for keeping yourself organised, on goal and also for finding a creative outlet but it can also be a fantastic way to get some spirituality into your life very easily. Every year, month and week I try and find ways to bring a little bit more magic into my life and the key way I do this is by planning and organising my bullet journal. I like to fill it with motivational quotes, plans, quick to reference items, beautiful images and, of course, magic.
I’m not going to go into bullet journaling itself as there are plenty of great articles and blogs out there already for that kind of thing. I constantly refer to these sites when I’m bullet journaling for inspiration and some of the main ones I go to are:
Little Coffee Fox– a great blog for beautiful spreads
the Bullet Journal website – the original idea for bullet journaling and a great place for going back to basics.
There are also plenty of facebook groups and pages for bullet journaling and also for spiritual bullet journaling as well! But here are a few ideas for how you could also bring a little bit more magic into your bujo.

One of the things I’ve done that’s new to my 2018 bujo is that I’ve included a shortened version of my Book of Shadows into it. The great thing about this is that it means I can reference things quickly or when I’m on the go. It helps me whip up spell bags quickly and means that if I have some free time I can plan out spells or rituals to do at a later date. These two pages allow me to quickly refer crystals and certain herbs/smells for appropriate times when I need them. I also have a page on the different types of incense I have and what I have at home to also aid me in spell bag or ritual planning.
Another tip you can use in your Bujo is to put rituals/spells into it on specially designed pages. I would recommend doing this for rituals or spells that you use a lot or that you know you’re going to want to refer to whereever you are. I carry my bujo with me no matter where I go so having a few pages that have rituals to refer to when I need them. At the moment I have my Full Moon Ritual in my bujo but I tend to put in a page with a quick good luck spell, a bring me happiness spell as well as some methods for breaking anxiety and panic attacks.

One of the other things I’ve recently added is a spell into my bujo. For me, working on bujo or scrap booking is incredibly relaxing, therapeutic and anti-stress for me so I thought that one way I could aid this stress relief when I work on my bujo was by adding stress-relieving and calming herbs behind an image I stuck into it. Using washi tape and an image cut from a magazine, I taped in the picture leaving one edge free. Then I slotted in a few dried chamomile and lavender flowers and, using more of the same washi tape, closed the pocket shut. I added a few more layers of tape around for good measure so that none of the flowers would fall out. The entire time I did this, I focused on the calming love and happy vibes I wanted my bujo to bring to me. Now, whenever I get anxious or panicky, I open my bujo to this page and move the flower around behind the picture and re-focus on the intention behind this image to help calm me and bring me back to focus.

Keeping a bujo, and a spiritual one at that, really does make me feel more prepared for anything that may come my way as I know that I always have the tools to prepare and plan. I can use it to plan out my days, weeks and months as well as spells, rituals and I even use mine to keep track of Little Blue Witch! I hope these ideas will help you to bring some more magic into your life in simple, easy to track ways.
